This 56' Ford F-100 Belongs to Hollie, shoebox-chris's wife. A true barnfind outside Oklahoma City for $600.
The previous owner dismanteled the truck in the mid 80's and luckily did not lose any parts. Chris found an older Mustang with 302 and C4 that will find their way into the 56'. A lowering job all the way around will give the truck a nice stance. Power disc brakes are going on as well as A/C for those hot muggy Oklahoma summers. Hollie plans to leave the body completely stock and paint it Alpine blue. As more work progresses we will keep you updated. RK

Our member Don was in the right place at the right time. His friend Joe Castro was selling a 29' Model "A" Coupe on 32' rails, the things dreams are made of. Don scored and brought the car in pieces home. After starring at the body on those beautiful 32' rails Don chose a 6" chop and executed it quickly. He purchased a 49' Ford flathead engine from another member with a two carb intake. He then aquired a T-5 five speed transmission. He is running an open drive Ford banjo rear in the back.
He worked up his own concoction for the front suspension, a straight axle with wishbones and springs that lay somewhere between suicide and semi-elliptical.
Though the car is still in the mock up stage Don has built it in his head. After everything is done and fitted, blow the whole thing apart shoot the body and frame with a copper base coat. Then fit the interior with an early stock car look and a one off set off bomber seats.
He will detail the chassis in the traditional sense with finned Buick brakes, wishbones, "A" style rear spring and sit REAL low.
Keep your eyes on this project as it progresses. RK
